Nik, born and raised in Macedonia; Thamm, from a small port in the Gulf of Mexico. We met on Instagram nearly a decade ago and, after only 4 months of long distance, we packed our bags and moved to Playa del Carmen, a beach town in the Mexican Caribbean. We never looked back.
Our approach.
Being a photography team made up of two individual artists, we find a balance between a thoughtful and intentional practice while still delivering a boutique client experience. Having two unique and experienced leaders gives us the time to create a calm, slow, and relaxing environment while still being able to be on the hunt for elevated and impactful imagery.

The value of connection
In our opinion, the most important thing when looking for a wedding photographer –aside from loving their work– is that you actually like the photographer. Why? Of all the people on your wedding day, your photographer is one of the only vendors who hangs out with you all day. That's why it is important to surround yourself with people who bring comfort and calm. The more comfortable you feel with us, the more comfortable you’ll feel in front of the camera, and the more confident you’ll look in your photographs. You will look back at these images for decades to come, we want you to remember the experience of having them taken with fondness.
Chasing real moments
We highly treasure real and honest moments. Finding beauty in vulnerability, we believe that the most honest expressions are the heart of every story; your love is one of a kind, your images should reflect that. Therefore, if you’re looking for the most epic posed photograph, then we are probably not the right team for you.
While we are behind the camera you will be doing your own thing, being your own self. It is very important for us to make sure you are fully present in the moment to be able to capture the real you.
Let's leave the awkwardness to the side. We get it, being in front of the camera can sometimes be a little intimidating. We know how you feel. However, you can be sure that, when necessary, we’ll give direction and help guide the real moments you and your partner share. Most importantly, we’ll do whatever it is you need to let loose and relax; whether it is to attempt really terrible jokes if that's what it takes to make you laugh, or even better... get you a tequila shot.

We sincerely realize and appreciate how important this day is for you. That being said, we understand how stressful it can be choosing an artist so far from home and it means everything to us to contribute towards, not only making your day the best it can possibly be, but to make the whole process stress-free.
The process
From the very start, we love learning more about you, your partner, and those intricate details you have envisioned for your wedding. Building a personal relationship with you is vital.
Once a collection is selected, we will send you an agreement to make it official. A signed agreement and a 30% non-refundable retainer are required to secure your wedding on our calendar. We only book a limited number of weddings a year. This ensures an intentional and luxurious client experience. We like to take the time to get to know you, to understand your story, and to do everything possible to plan and create your vision.
Leading up to the wedding, a questionnaire will be sent. This helps us learn the little things. We also encourage video chats or call meetings to ask more questions and start a friendship that we hope to establish before your day. Creating that bond helps everyone feel familiar and more comfortable which results in the best images. All of that to say, we will be as involved in the process as you would like!

FAQ
Do you travel for weddings?
Absolutely! Traveling is one of our biggest sources of inspiration and something we put a priority on every year. There is no limit to the places we can go and we would be happy to make your destination a reality.
Who will be shooting my wedding?
Most of the times, your wedding will be captured by both of us (Thamm and Nik), as we love working together. We currently have two more talents on the team though, each dedicated to capturing your wedding with a shared vision that embodies Novski. Nonetheless, you should expect to work with either Thamm or Nik plus one more member of our studio. Our unified approach ensures that every moment is documented with the same passion and artistry that defines our brand.
When do we receive our pictures?
Full galleries take from 2 to 4 months, depending on our workflow, with a preview within a week after the wedding day.
How many photos should we expect?
This is a hard one because every wedding is different. Nonetheless, if we had to put a number on it, you can expect from 600-800 color versions.
Will we receive B&W’s in our gallery?
You bet! We love black and white photographs so much that, as a plus to our couples, we turn all of your photographs into black and white versions.
Do you Photoshop?
No, we will not alter the way you look other than for skin blemishes or anything temporary that wouldn’t normally be there.
Do you provide RAW?
Our studio provides a luxury wedding photography experience to our clients. Therefore, sending RAW files would be akin to someone ordering an haute couture gown and receiving an unfinished product. We carefully cull each image and edit with the utmost attention so that our couples enjoy stunning wedding photographs, free of watermarks, blinking or red eyes. We will not photoshop the images to present something that does not exist, but we will still remove all unnecessary marks or distractions so that you get to receive exactly what you deserve.
